Next Stop: Open Innovation – A Session In Your Company, Conference Or Network
The innovation role is changing rapidly as companies embrace the open innovation movement, seeking external partners to co-create future products and services. This change the way companies organize for innovation and it requires a new mindset and new skills; it is no longer enough to just be a good project manager, researcher, engineer – or leader.
Therefore, I am pleased to offer the “Next Stop: Open Innovation” session for companies that want to get a better understanding of open innovation. The session is built around the below elements:
* Approaching Open Innovation: What is open innovation? What are the benefits and challenges of open innovation? What can we learn from the open innovation pioneers? How should your company approach open innovation? How do you handle the intellectual property rights issues? We will look into these – and many other issues – in this element.
* The Essentials: We look into the essential people-related elements that must be in place for open innovation – or indeed innovation of any type – to flourish. Most critically, the importance of identifying and developing the right people is something that simply cannot be stressed enough.
This element raises a tough question: Do you and your colleagues have the traits, mindset and skills needed to be successful with (open) innovation?
* The Roadblocks: All forms of innovation, including open innovation, are fraught with peril. Many of the roadblocks you will encounter have to do with people-related issues. In this element, we will discuss how senior executives and what I call “corporate antibodies” can get in the way of innovation. During the discussion, I will provide some ideas on proactive ways to work around these roadblocks.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The session is intended for people working with issues such as turning ideas into revenues, developing new growth platforms through open innovation and making top management understand and support open innovation.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
I tailor these sessions to the specific needs of your company or organization and the cost depends on the level of customization and thus preparation required.
Let me know your issues and I will give you an idea of how I can help you.
