Call for Visionaries! Help Make the Future of Innovation Open and Global
UPDATE: Join our LinkedIn group if you want to join this initiative and become a 15inno regional ambassador. The link is: 15inno Regional Chapters
Can you imagine a global network of people who believe the future of innovation is open and global?
Can you imagine a global network based on regional chapters that helps increase the general awareness of open innovation and connects the people and companies – virtually and physically – that turn open innovation into reality?
This is my vision for 15inno and I am looking for great people who can relate to this and help turn it into a reality.
Do you want to get involved? Read further and find out if we should discuss ways of working together in order to make this happen.
How do we build regional chapters? I will start regional chapters when I have 3-5 great people onboard who can act as ambassadors/leaders and build regional momentum.
Then we start out with frequent events for companies, startups, institutions, service providers, venture capitalists and others with an interest in open innovation. We listen to them and deliver the services they need as we continue to develop the regional chapter.
Why should you get involved? Because you believe the future of innovation is open and global and because you want to make a difference and be recognized as a front-runner and visionary on open innovation in your region.
Will this make you rich? No. We might be able to develop some regional revenue streams, but the right people do not do this for the money. It is not a full-time position and you already have a good job where you are involved with open innovation in some way. However, being a leading figure in a global network on open innovation can definitely influence your personal career in interesting ways…
I have many ideas on how to make this happen, I have a good platform in 15inno.com and I have a great global network of thought leaders and corporate innovation people who support this vision.
So let me know if you want to get involved: stefan @ intrap.com

Hi Stephan,
You are preaching to the converted! And, yes I'm interested.
My own organisation was established on the core principle of strategically networking innovation and promoting improvement. So, I do this nationally on a daily basis.
Connecting ideas, people and outcomes are the key and if my skills could develop those networks globally for the benefit of patients, then I'd consider that a job well done.
Let me know if this sounds of interest. It would be good to learn more.

Hi Stefan,
I am interested and am happy to join a skype conference or something alike to touch base and exchange views on opportunities and required actions.
In the Netherlands I am setting up a 'co-creation association' along with some folks from Cap Gemini, TNO (Dutch research institution) and a governement innovation acceleration organisation called Syntens. Possibly this initiative is related to some aspects of what you intend to do, so let's find out!
Kind regards,

Fantastic idea and a great cause.
I'm a 100% sold on the concept. In fact we are actively working to release our prototype/beta version in support of this for the small and mid-size businesses. I'll send you a seperate email regarding the same and will sign up to head the local chapter in my region.
Regards,
Vishal
Hello Stefan,
We at hypios are definately interested in this initiative. We are already hosting events on Open Innovation (OI) at our HQ in Paris, and it would definately be interesting to have something more global, along the lines of PDMA, but focussing on OI.
I'm currently in the US and based on compared to the people from companies I meet here, who all have diverse OI experiences, I can say that in France and Paris, where the university partnership is about as good as it gets in terms of OI, this sort or initiative is more than useful. I also have some ideas on whom to do this with.

Hi Stefan,
this is a great idea, and one never knows what this will lead to. I've had some very significant experience and success stories with innovations in FMCG and Pharma – innovation definitely is one of the most exciting aspects of business. So count me in, and let's discuss how to take this forward. Is there a plan & timeline?
I'd love to find out more.
Caroline.
Hi Stefan,
As Stephan Verveen already mentioned I am also interested and see a possible role for the so called Co-Creation Association.

Great Idea – i would love to be part of your global network for Open Innovation. I have been actively teaching Innovation Managmenet at Indian Management Institutes. I have conducted a few Innovation workshops. I would like to connect you to my network of Innovation facilitators and champion your cause in India.
Dear Stefan,
Thank you for the invitation over the e-mail and I am very much interested in joining your OI global network as regional leader in Korea. Please do let me know if you need any support from me while building up the network.

Being in Cambridge, I come across a number of open innovation activities that are going around here as this is a hub for OI in the UK. Your idea is interesting, but as they say, the devil is in the details. I am interested to see where you are taking this on a more practical level.

Douglas, this will be a learn as we go process. I have a vision and a direction, but I am open to changes based on your input. We will discuss further in the LinkedIn group for regional ambassadors: http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=2918072&tr…
Hi Stefan-
Very timely topic! I am trying to get a "green building system to market, and have found that reaching out to other companies to provide the best components has allowed me to focus on my own strengths.
It is also a hot topic in building design related to Integrated Project Delivery, where the idea is to get your team working together as soon as possible to get the best results.
I'm tin the Washington DC area, and would be happy to be a local contact person.
Texas Institute of Science (TxIS.us) would be very interested in being a part of this group, especially for the Texas/Southwest U.S; and open innovation is what we do. We are an organization that works with technology based companies & communities to improve their R&D capabilities through an ‘Open Innovation’ model. With approximately 37% of the world’s total global scientific capacity resides in the region from the Czech Republic to Taiwan, we leverage Eastern scientific resources on behalf of Western industries by utilizing our personally grown Global Research Alliance, consisting of 15,000+ professors and research scientists in 1800+ departments at more than 190 affiliated universities and research institutes in this region.
