Get Exposure in Open Innovation Books! Controversial, Yes…But Value for All

April 26, 2011 15inno 1 Comment

I will be publishing two new books this August. One book will be on how big and small companies view open innovation differently and how they can find common ground despite these differences. The other book will be a roadmap on open innovation based on my blog posts and corporate cases.

I have decided to self-publish these two books as I have lost faith in the traditional publishing model. One key reason is that it would take about 9 months before you would get the chance to read my books and with the fast pace of change we see in business today, some of the content will be outdated by then.

The self-publishing model opens up the opportunity for involving partners in my book projects. I imagine writing a case story about your efforts on open innovation based on a consulting assignment on this. Such an assignment usually lasts 2-4 days. You can read about my services here.

The case stories are on corporate efforts only. Service providers can be included with a two-page introduction at the start or the end of the book.

I know this might be controversial to some people, but I do not really care. I know that I can do this in a way that brings value to all – and especially to the readers – as I will only enter such deals if there is value for them in this.

Let me know if you want to discuss this. Deadline for the books is mid-June. My e-mail is stefanlindegaard @ me.com
