Making Open Innovation Work – a workshop by Stefan Lindegaard

June 17, 2011 workshops No Comments

I don’t care if you are big or small – you need to open up!

Some of the best innovators come from the smallest organizations. As the world economy continues to fluctuate and great minds move from the Fortune 500 to the family room, the opportunities for strategic and profitable partnerships between large and small businesses continue to grow. Understanding how these two very different worlds connect, however, is vital to capitalizing on these emerging new opportunities.

Join open innovation expert and author Stefan Lindegaard as he shares his views on big and small business collaboration and how it could change the future of open innovation as we know it.

In the workshop, we will look into these three key messages:

#1 Internal – not external – factors make or break open innovation initiatives.

#2 Understanding, connecting and communicating with partners is key to open innovation success.

#3 Open innovation and social media are inseparable. You need to seed now to reap future benefits!

The workshop also has break-out groups focusing on issues that are relevant for the participants. Stefan Lindegaard will prepare topics based on pre-workshop talks with the participants.

Practical focus, your benefits

This workshop goes beyond the hype that follows open innovation as we take a practical approach that will make you understand why open innovation is just as much about mindset as it is about hands-on approaches on becoming the preferred partner in innovation ecosystems.

The benefits you get from this workshop includes:

• a better understanding of the differences between big and small companies on open innovation

• examples of the most common challenges and recommendations on how to overcome them

• an overview of the mindset and skills needed to succeed with open innovation

• an introduction to social media tools relevant for open innovation

This will be an interactive workshop in which Stefan Lindegaard starts conversations on the above topics. Lindegaard will share his views, but does not have all the answers so your input and insights are highly appreciated in a workshop where we all learn from each other.
